Date / Location
Doors Open: 6:00 pm
Presentation Begins: 6:45 pm
405 E. Oliver St.
Baltimore, MD 21202
As with the all 7 Autumn Leaves events and exhibition, The Birch Group event is FREE and open to the public, and takes place in the context of an art exhibition featuring portraits by E.L. Briscoe, Zöe Charlton, Ian MacLean Davis, Paris Johnson, Tiffany Jones, Nicole Buckingham Kern, and Ernest Shaw, and 49 symbolic drawings by Peter Bruun.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive soon after the doors open to have time to view the art, see slideshows created by the "leaves," enjoy light fare and refreshments (courtesy The Classic Catering People), and mingle with one another before the presentation begins.
Performances from Goaldiggers: The Sankofa Project and Art Vandalay punctuate the event’s 7 "leaves" each taking 7 minutes to share from the stage reflections on three questions: “What gives your life meaning? How do you think about your own dying, or passing? What do you have to say to young people, or what advice would you give your 21 year-old self?”
Hosted by Brad Rogers and Jennifer Strasbaugh, the event offers a model of healthy community: we come together in diverse and caring fellowship, where who you are and what you bring is honored, welcome, and always enough.
Due to limited demand, we no longer will offer valet parking for the events! There is an abundance of good street parking on Oliver Street, Federal Street one block north, and in the surrounding blocks. You may also choose to visit this link for parking garages in walking distance from Area 405.
Area 405 is located at 405 East Oliver Street, one block west of Greenmount Avenue, where the number 8 bus makes a stop. It also is less than a 10-minute walk from Baltimore Penn Station, the hub for much rail and bus transportation. Visit http://mta.maryland.gov/ for more information.
